Hatch Blue Norway is seeking a full-time “Project Analyst” to assist and support the growth of our expanding innovation consultancy business.
Hatch Blue Norway is a subsidiary of Hatch Blue (www.hatch.blue), a global aquaculture investment and innovation company with offices in Bergen. We are seeking a project analyst for our global consultancy and advisory business.
Hatch Blue is a knowledge-based firm focused on the global markets of sustainable aquaculture and alternative seafood. It comprises four business units: investment management, consulting and advisory support, startup programs, and media. Its 40 team members work across five offices in Europe, North America and Asia. To date, Hatch Blue has made ~70 investments, run 20+ innovation programs and delivered dozens of highly specialized consulting projects to blue chip clients globally.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainable aquaculture innovation, supporting high-profile clients and contributing to the growth of the blue economy. Hatch Blue Consulting provides advice, consulting and support services to corporates, entrepreneurs, NGOs, governments and investors across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-impact consulting projects across the aquaculture value chain. This position requires a blend of analytical, research, and project management skills to assist in market intelligence, due diligence, technology assessment, and strategic advisory services for clients, including investors, corporations, and governments.Specifically we are seeking an individual to:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret market data from public and proprietary sources to support investment decisions, market strategies, and industry benchmarking.
- Conduct in-depth market research on aquaculture industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments.
- Support in conducting market interviews to further populate our market intelligence.
- Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and to a high standard.
- Responsible for project tasks and deliveries, support on the development of client reports and presentations, for both internal and external clients.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops, contributing insights and recommendations based on market research and analysis.
Help prepare proposals and project deliverables for new and existing clients.
Job requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, marine biology, aquaculture, environmental science, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in market research, data analysis, or consulting, preferably within the aquaculture, food, or sustainability sectors.
- Present research clearly and effectively through client-facing reports and visual presentations. Excellent presentation and report writing skills is key.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data and industry dynamics.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, international team environment.

- Familiarity with aquaculture industry trends, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Interest in sustainability, blue economy, and innovation in seafood and food production.
- Experience in preparing client facing reports and presentations for various stakeholders
